Kurt Gottschalk and Tamara Yadao create mid-air palindromes with guitars and speaking voices. Theirs is a geometry of oratory where words and meaning are of slippery significances only as important as the listener wants them to be.

"four of them are in the picture above. the first was found around the corner from where i live, the second was handed to me in the lower east side and has been mostly re-recorded in williamsburg's streets, the third was used to record the subway in milan, circa 1997, the last was found in my apartment when i moved in. people whom i know had lived here before us came from iran, portugal, switzerland and the u.s.a."
