n5MD is the former minidisc only label based in Oakland, CA that was started in the year 2000 by now ex Gridlock member Mike Cadoo. The label has gone on to be one of the premier DIY/Indie labels for electronic, shoegaze and post-rock styles with some of its roster being a hybrid of all three. n5MD has become a stable for artists who have an honest emotional thread to their music and may be best know for their quality over quantity ethos in releasing music. -M.P.
